POSTCARDS FROM FORGOTTEN PLACES (2014)
From a major exhibition showcasing personal photographs taken over more than two decades, featuring rural towns, agricultural landscapes and images of urban industrial architecture and streetscapes in South Australia.
NED KELLY WAS HERE (2014)
Like many Australians, I’ve long been fascinated by the legend of Australia’s most famous bushranger, Ned Kelly. I began this photography project in ‘Kelly Country’ aiming to capture a sense of place. However, I also found myself confronted by countless effigies of the Kelly Gang. This appropriation is not surprising. The bold, iconic imagery of their armour is a major factor in the continuing mystique of the Kelly story.
When my older brother died in 2014, it caused me to explore our family’s story: the truths, the half-truths, the myths and the secrets.
