THIS IS OUR TOWN

For five years I worked on a photo documentary project about the City of Elizabeth in South Australia, which included its relationship with GM Holden, whose last Australian plant closed there in October 2017. Through the stories of Elizabethans past and present, it looks at the effect of this major transition and how it is being experienced and processed. This is not a unique situation globally and what is happening in Elizabeth is a universal story. It just so happens that it is my hometown, which I care about deeply. One would hope that from this transition, lessons would be learnt for the future. This work was exhibited at the Playford Civic Centre in 2018 and at the South Australian Migration Museum in 2019. The book of the project, This is Our Town: A snapshot of Elizabeth, was published in 2019. You can see more about the project on my blog: https://imfromelizabeth.wordpress.com/
