For a relatively small city, Adelaide has always punched well above it’s weight when it comes to rock and roll. The Angels, Cold Chisel and Masters Apprentices are just a few of the many highly successful bands that came out of there. As a photographer working in the music scene I got to work with many local acts over the years. Met some great, talented people and made some long term friendships. The photographs here were taken for band publicity, record covers and publications such as Roadrunner magazine, Tim Kelton’s book Underground In The City Of Churches (WAV Publications, 1986) and, more recently, many were used in Todwinna Moore’s terrific Documentary film Rock In A Hard Place.
